Stancing

The Root Of The Tree

Stancing or stepping is the ability to move around your opponent when sparing whist maintaining your balance. Stancing allows you to move towards your opponent to apply strikes or away from them to evade attacks. It allows you to lower your center of gravity to increase your stability if your being pushed or pulled and it helps you attack the lower half of your opponent without leaning forward and loosing your balance.
